The Walking Dead…

The popularity of the new series on AMC (The Walking Dead)  is crazy.  Everyone is loving this show.  I have to admit I actually sorta kind of dig it too.

I was thinking about it…and these verses came to mind.

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. – Rom 6:23

And you were dead in the trespasses and sins  -Eph. 2:1

If you don’t have Jesus, if He is not your foundation, if He is not the Lord and Savior of your life…you may be walking around…but you are nothing more than a walking dead man.

But you know what the good thing is?

God has made a way to redeem and reconcile us back to Himself, and bring us back to life.

HIS NAME IS JESUS!!

Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Through him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God. (Romans 5:1-2 ESV)

WOW!  How amazing is this news??

You know what is even better….check this verse out.

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. 2 Cor. 5:17

You have the opportunity to be brought back to life, to know the life giver on a personal level.  Even though you and I were the walking dead,  Jesus has the power to bring us back to life!

NOW that is good news!

Amen bro. U touched on some great subjects with a good show. The sad part about the show is ppl watch it mindlessly and are in their own lil fantasy world. Aliens will be the explanation for the rapture and zombies will be the resurrection lol. I mean really how else will ppl be deceived about these things?!
